The Sustainable Development Goals were developed and concluded at the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, held in Brazil, in 2012 and the purpose of the SDGs then was to create a set of global goals that cuts across political, environmental, healthwise and addresses economic challenges that we face as humanity.

After mentioning the goals in 2015 the UN promoted them as global goals of sustainable development for the period 2015-2030, they’re said to be capable of transforming the world and they were used to replace the 8 Millennium Development Goals.

The SDGs are created in confidence with the hope that they will address the most urgent and general problems of the world. These SDGs are all interrelated. They are a universal call to action to respond sustainably against the threat of climate change, having a positive impact in the way we manage our fragile natural resources, promoting peace and inclusive societies, to reduce inequalities and contribute to the prosperity of economies. Any woman with a strong passion, courage and determination to promote peace and reduce inequality, can thrive anywhere.

The attainment of the SDG agenda will greatly depend on whether the identified synergies among the goals can work as an added advantage of how well countries can make use of the resources available to them. Also to achieve the fulfillment of the SDGs, highlighted trade-offs, which can constitute obstacles in achieving the SDGs, need to be worked against, overcomed, negotiated and converted to opportunities. More opportunities need to be created and monitored for women to ensure that women are at a great advantage.

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) under the UN 2030 Agenda stand for a shared and deliberate vision for global development toward a sustainable economy, society, and environment. Several coordinated national efforts are in place to ensure it is achieved. Although numerous studies have shown how challenging it can be to meet the SDGs.

Public participation and collective action by local stakeholders such as city councils, community groups, individuals, private businesses, local authorities, civil society organizations have long been recognized as very important factors in achieving all round sustainable development across all major global agendas. To meet the great 2030 targets of the SDGs, strict and appropriate initiatives must be worked with.

The SDGs’ aims is to attain prosperity in a sustainable world. Every individual should be established such that they can afford the basic amenities of life and all people can lead productive lives, living peacefully and progressively. The SDGs are a way to ensure that the United Nations tackle some of the pressing challenges facing the world today. All 17 goals connect and work hand in hand. This means that success in one goal is directly proportional to the others. Fulfilling the SDG goals is a great chance  to improve life for future generations.

Infrastructure development is a vital component in encouraging a country’s economic growth. Women need more opportunities in infrastructure as well as in innovation to enhance productivity. This also makes firms more competitive, thereby boosting a region’s economy. Infrastructure enhances the efficiency of production, transportation, and communication, in any country. So allowing more involvement of women in infrastructure can help boost the country’s economy.

A country with strong infrastructure and innovation will have access to economic incentives in both the public and private sector. Another Important factor is the accessibility and quality of infrastructure in a region, this helps shape domestic firms’ investment decisions and determine the region’s attractiveness to foreign investors.

The living standards in China today are palatable, as measured by GDP per capita, because China overtook those in India more than 15 years ago. This happened because China’s Infrastructure and innovation has improved over the years, China allows the involvement of both genders in industry. This has caused the Chinese economy to grow nearly twice as fast as India’s. This goes further to prove that resilient infrastructure, inclusive and sustainable industrialization as well as innovation is very necessary for a successful country.
